PrismFall is designed to grow forward without rewriting its past.
To keep the game honest, playable, and historically clear, we follow a simple approach to how Kickstarter releases, main line production, and special artifacts are handled.
This page exists for clarity — not promotion.
Every PrismFall Kickstarter marks a closed moment in the game’s history.
When a campaign is fulfilled, that moment ends permanently.
Production then continues forward with intentional differences.
Kickstarter is not early access.
It is a documented chapter.
This applies to:
PrismFall V1 (current)
Future PrismFall releases (V2–V5)
Parallel projects released alongside PrismFall
Each Kickstarter creates a single, sealed Era.
An Era is defined by:
A specific time window (from campaign launch to final fulfillment)
Production decisions unique to that window
Documentation of how and why those items existed
Once an Era closes:
Those exact versions are not reproduced in the same form
Main line production intentionally diverges
This is not artificial scarcity.
It is historical separation.
PrismFall uses an internal system called the PrismFall Significance Index (PSI) to record why something matters — not how rare or expensive it is.
PSI reflects:
Historical context
Design intent
Origin
PSI does not reflect:
Power
Play advantage
Market value
Standard Kickstarter decks are recorded as Era Markers
Cosmetic variations remain Era-bound, not elevated
Development artifacts are recorded as historical anchors
Individually created Founding items are recorded as origin artifacts
Bundles are not assigned significance — only the components are
Nothing becomes more significant because it sold out or was popular.
For clarity, this is how PrismFall records items created during this Kickstarter:
PrismFall Starter Deck (Kickstarter Print)
→ Recorded as an Era Marker
First-Wave Holo Deck
→ Recorded as an Era Marker (finish differs, role does not)
Signed Starter Deck
→ Still an Era Marker (signatures affect condition, not significance)
Prototype Deck — Archival Edition
→ Recorded as a historical development artifact
Signed Prototype Deck
→ Same historical classification as the unsigned version
Bundles themselves are not assigned significance
(Only the individual items inside them are recorded)
Reference cards, archival prints, and posters created for this campaign
→ Recorded as Era Markers
All Founding Echo Colors
→ Recorded as origin artifacts tied to PrismFall’s beginning
These are one-of-one and never reissued in the same form.
To preserve fairness and playability:
Cards themselves are not signed
External items (boxes, certificates, sleeves, or inserts) may be signed
This keeps gameplay intact while allowing personal provenance to be recorded separately.
Once Kickstarter fulfillment is complete:
Main line production begins
Materials, finishes, or presentation may change
Kickstarter-specific markings do not carry forward
Main line items are recorded simply as:
Standard releases, or
Recognized variants if something meaningful changes
Main line production never replaces or rebrands earlier Eras — it moves forward.
This same structure applies to:
Future PrismFall releases (V2–V5)
Companion projects such as ShatterFall
Any future expansions or systems
Each year creates a moment.
Each moment is recorded.
Then the game continues.
You may see us say things like:
“Kickstarter is how PrismFall records its history.
Each campaign creates a closed Era.
After fulfillment, we move forward — we don’t go back.”
Or simply:
“PrismFall doesn’t manufacture scarcity.
It records moments — and then lets them pass.”
That’s the whole philosophy.
PrismFall is built to be played first, remembered second, and never pressured.
This page exists so players don’t have to guess later.
Nothing more. Nothing less.
